Hi everyone.
Well, we've been busy over the last week and the main progress has been the removal of the internal walls downstairs. You will remember that it looked like this.
With the aid of a big hammer, an axe and a crowbar I've gradually stripped all of that out and removed the electrics from the walls and called the AC guy in to empty the freon so that we can move the pipes.
So it now looks like this ....
The new wall, which is going to be fitted tomorrow (Monday 25th) by that nice Mr. Dodson, will stretch across from where the brush is, across to the right
We have moved a lot of stuff into storage from both downstairs and upstairs. I've been doing a deep clean on the kitchen area. I have moved the TV and the plough upstairs and the
plough now has a new home as you can see below (those shelves are going).
I have been shopping for the refrigeration units and they should arrive next week. We have a wine fridge and large chest freezer for the kitchen and a 3 door back bar fridge.
The wood arrived for the front and top of the bar. I have some cedar for the top and will stain the front. I will start building that on Wednesday 27th.
Also while not on site I have been creating the cocktail list and pulling together the Point of Sale information for the POS system which has to be done before we can open.
I have also connected with the guy who will be doing the sign for above the door.
So it's coming together nicely and I'm on track for opening by 1st November at the latest.
I'll give another update next weekend when hopefully it will begin to look a bit more like the interior render that I did.
Have a great week everyone.
